Peru joins the IQA as a Full Member
The IQA is happy to announce that Federación Deportiva Peruana de Quidditch (FDPQ) is the newest Full Member of the IQA. To become a Full Member of the IQA, an NGB must meet at least two of the following criteria:
- Minimum 8 registered teams
- Minimum 100 registered players
- Minimum 8 IQA certified head referees
- Minimum 4 NGB administrative staff
An NGB must also be in good standing with the IQA while in the Associate, Development member category.
FDPQ has shown tremendous growth in teams and administration over the last few years and is financially stable. While language barriers have caused difficulties in ensuring they have sufficient certified match officials, the NGB meets each of the other criteria.
The application has been reviewed by the Events and Membership Services Department, and presented to the IQA Board of Trustees. The Federación Deportiva Peruana de Quidditch was approved as a full member by the Board on October 10, 2021.
