The IQA and Belgian Quadball Federation is excited to announce the IQA 2025 World Cup will be hosted at Brussels and Proximus Basecamp, Tubize, Belgium on July 11-13 next year.

In July next year quadball players around the world will travel to the heart of Europe, Belgium, where history, culture, and modernity blend seamlessly into an unforgettable experience. Every corner tells a story in Brussels. Visit the Atomium, an iconic symbol of the city, offering panoramic views of the entire region. Explore the city’s rich history in the Royal Palace or the ancient halls of the Coudenberg Palace. Indulge in Brussels’ culinary delights, where waffles, chocolate, and fries are just the beginning. Savour exquisite Belgian beers at traditional cafes or discover the city’s vibrant dining scene with world-class restaurants that cater to every taste.

“We are looking forward to welcoming everyone to our beautiful capital city. Brussels offers a wide range of accommodation and great public transport. The proposed facilities for the IQA World Cup are the best Belgium has to offer.” said Hanne Van Tichelt, president of Belgian Quadball Federation. “BQF, our local teams, volunteers and supporters are passionate about the success of this event and showing the world the best that Belgian quadball has to offer. Having hosted several international tournaments before. We are certain that the IQA World Cup 2025 will be amazing.”

After receiving three bids for our sixth IQA World Cup event, Belgium boasts impressive facilities and partners, and has every potential to host one of the best IQA World Cups the quadball community has seen. Proximus Basecamp have high quality pitches and professional training facilities, and will even create a quadball specific stadium experience.

“This is an incredible milestone for quadball,” said Laurens Grinwis Plaat Stultjes, former board member of the European federation and a key figure in the bid. “Brussels and Tubize will not only host the world’s best quadball teams, but they will also set the stage for the sport’s future. The creation of a quadball-specific stadium is a game-changer. It shows the growth of our sport and its ability to stand on its own as a major international competition.”

The IQA is excited to be partnering with Visit.Brussels, who will be working hard to create a seamless experience (accommodation, training facilities, tourism..) for players, volunteers and spectators between the vibrant city of Brussels and Tubize.

Also supporting the event is partner RBFA Experiences by Event Masters. This partnership allows us to offer unparalleled event experiences at the location in Tubize where the Belgian National football teams, such as Red Devils and Red Flames as well as many other top athletes train and excel.

Pauline Raes, Events Director of the IQA, expressed her excitement: “I’m thrilled to see the IQA World Cup coming to Brussels, Belgium. With the support of our partners Visit Brussels and RBFA Experiences by Event Masters, and the fantastic Proximus Basecamp in Tubize as the host venue, this event will bring the global quadball community together to celebrate athleticism, inclusivity, and teamwork.”

National teams are, at this stage, advised not to book accommodation as our partner Visit.Brussels will be arranging special hotel rates for players to get the best prices in Brussels. Further details for players, volunteers and spectators will be released in the coming months.

Negra Flores, chair of Board of Trustees expressed ‘Every IQA World Cup is full of excitement! I am sure this will be a new opportunity for our community to show how amazing and unique we are, I can’t wait!’
