IQA Annual General Meeting (AGM) – 15 March 2024

Feb 13, 2025 | Announcement

The International Quadball Association (IQA) Annual General Meeting (AGM) will take place on March 15, 2024. This meeting is a crucial opportunity for National Governing Bodies (NGBs) to participate in key decision-making processes, including the election of new Trustees to the IQA Board.

A Farewell and Thank You to Andy

We want to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude to Andy, our Treasurer, who has decided to step down from his role. Andy has been a dedicated volunteer for the IQA on multiple occasions, and his contributions have had a lasting impact on our organization.

Reflecting on his departure, Andy shared:

“I have a tremendous amount of respect and admiration for all of our volunteers. The work you all do is incredible and underappreciated by the sport and community. I love this organization, and it has meant a lot to me throughout my various tenures. While this isn’t the first time I’ve left the IQA—and it might not be the last—for now, I think it’s best that I step aside.”

Andy, we sincerely appreciate your hard work and dedication. We look forward to seeing you continue to make an impact in the quadball community in the future!

Board Composition and Expanding Representation

With Andy’s departure, the IQA Board currently has five active Trustees, which is the minimum required under our constitution. However, we can have up to twelve Trustees, providing an opportunity to expand and strengthen our leadership.

As we approach the election of new Trustees, we are particularly eager to bring a broader range of perspectives and experiences to our Board. We strongly encourage individuals from underrepresented backgrounds in leadership to consider applying. Diverse voices help us build a stronger, more inclusive future for quadball. For more information on applying as a trustee, please see this entry.

Voting Eligibility

All NGBs in good standing with the IQA will have an equal vote in the AGM. Ensuring compliance with IQA membership requirements is essential for participation in the decision-making process.

More details, including the official date and agenda, will be provided directly to NGB representatives.
